Embracing Medication and Taking My Life Back

IMG_7789-1.JPG

Welcome back! Between switching departments at work, computer issues, and addressing my mental health, my blogging has (unfortunately) gone on the back burner. After spending a ton of time this holiday weekend with other people, I decided now would be a good opportunity to give some time to myself.

Hello, hello! I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday… not complaining though, whatsoever. How was everyone’s day? Lost track of time at work today and was almost there until 7… oops! Not so bad when you’re enjoying what you’re doing.

5 Simple Ways to Becoming a Morning Person

FullSizeRender.jpg.jpeg

Anyone who knows me knows that sleep and I… well, we don’t get along very well. For many, many years I have been a renowned night owl, and I’m still trying to work on that. Thanks to this lifestyle, I have viewed mornings as the enemy for quite some time. However, that whole “adult with a career” thing forced me to change this outlook the hard way. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m a morning person now. ME? Taylor Maleski? A morning person?!?!? I know. I’m just as shocked as you are. I actually woke up willingly at 7 am last Sunday. W h a t  t h e  h e c k. It takes some trial and error, but trust me, it’s for the better. Here are some tips and tricks on how I made the switch:

Hi, everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Labor Day weekend. Mine was great, although it freaking sped past. Don’t they all? I am going to be so out of it when I go into work tomorrow, because I had off today as well (a good problem to have, for sure), and I’m going to be thinking it’s Monday all day. 3-day work week FTW!

10 Tips for Your Job Search

Hi, everyone! Happy Spring, and Happy Sunday! I know it’s been a long time since we’ve chatted… 5 MONTHS, to be exact. My. goodness. I’m cringing. The primary reason for my inadvertent hiatus has been that I was adjusting to a new job. Then, I quit that job, and very recently obtained another! (Super long story – will be writing about that another time, not to worry.)

2017 Resolutions

So, about halfway through writing this, my computer completely froze out of nowhere, and I had to do a force-restart… naturally causing me to lose all my work. You would think after 16+ years of school, I would’ve learned to save my work?! But, APPARENTLY! NOT! The reason I am opening with this is because a year ago, this would’ve caused me to completely freak out and probably get a migraine. Now, I’m a little disappointed, because I was really happy with the way I structured everything (and probably forgot half of it by now), but life goes on and the post will be completed, regardless.

December POTM

Can I just ask one quick question: WHERE THE HECK DID 2017 GO?!?! I can’t believe it’s already December. I don’t even want to think about all the Christmas shopping I haven’t started but have to do…

These Boots Were Made For… Blogging

Thigh-high boots are all the rage right now, and this was a trend I simply could not resist. Shoes are such statements of style and personality – and my shoe collection highlights the different styles I incorporate in my day-to-day fashion very accurately. I was a big fan of the riding boot trend for a while, but to be blunt, I became very bored of it. I needed something new to come along and rescue me from my boot boredom, and the thigh-highs came just in time!

Blast From the Past

One of my absolute favorite things about my friends is that they share my love of driving around for fun. It may have something to do with the beautiful area of New Jersey we grew up/live in, but either way, it’s something that certainly brings us closer. My friend Darek and I were trying to figure out something to do on both of our days off, and he was like, “Wanna do a drive through New Jersey to check out the fall foliage?” IS THAT MY BEST FRIEND OR IS THAT MY BEST FRIEND?! I feel very lucky in these moments.
