Anyways! It’s been a while since I’ve posted a POTM, and I think this one is our winner for December. The Sephora Beauty Insider program is one of the greatest things in existence, in my personal opinion. You get points based off of your purchases, and you can cash them in for samples and products. And!!! It’s free to join. They also give out a yearly free birthday gift, which is my favorite perk of the program by far. They give out a sample size of various brands: Marc Jacobs, Too Faced, Tarte (to name a few), and I have never once disliked a product. The sample size allows you to decide if you want to get the full-sized product, and for this product, I totally would.
So, let’s talk about it! For starters, this Too Faced “Chocolate Bar” LITERALLY SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE. Who doesn’t want to begin their day with that?! The bronzer/shades are perfect for my complexion, and being that I’m a brown-eyed girl, they complement my eye color really well. The colors blend very smoothly, and I don’t feel that the bronzer is too orange or too dark. I actually dropped my favorite bronzer and cracked it (RT if you cried), so I switched to this one – and ended up liking it even more than my other!
Because this was a birthday gift (or a rewards exchange – I can’t remember now), Sephora doesn’t sell this exact product anymore. However, they do sell an eyeshadow palette, as well as a contour kit featuring these shades. While the products are a bit pricier to some people, I fully believe that quality makeup is worth the extra buck. Plus, Too Faced does not test on animals, which is very important to me.
