As many of you may know after reading my ‘Going Gluten Free’ post, I recently took on the commitment of eliminating all gluten from my diet. I am 100% intolerant, allergic, or whatever you want to call it. It has been almost 2 months at this point, and I would like to share some of my discoveries with you!
Confessions of a Workaholic
Pictured above is what a typical week would look like for me. I have to “pencil” in everything – Yes, that includes scheduling my own BIRTHDAY. It’s the only way I’m able to (attempt) to keep track of everything and keep my head on straight.
London and Dublin
My sisters and I have always wanted to visit Europe together, and last year, we decided 2018 would be the year. My stepmom had never been, so we decided it was time for her to see more of the world with us. After a lot of back and forth, we decided on London and Dublin. Thursday, May 24th, we took off on our 7-hour, red-eye flight across the Atlantic. Note: I highly recommend doing a red-eye, because you’re able to sleep on the plane and acclimate to the new time zone much easier than you would with a daytime flight. We arrived around 11 am, which gave us the whole day to explore!
Overseas to Greece
For those of you who did not know, I recently embarked on my first journey outside of america! It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and an incredible first week to my summer. I’ve been having friends and family ask about it – so I figured why not condense it here as best as I can!
To-Do Lists 101
To-do lists are legitimately the only reason my head has been able to stay on its shoulders for as long as it has. I have a million and one things to do/remember/keep track of, so it is truly the only way I am able to manage my life without forgetting the important things.
Extracting Color
Happy Monday, everyone! As you have probably gathered, this has been a huge summer for me. It’s been the summer of change, realization, understanding – the list goes on. Very recently, I came to the conclusion that there are just too many distractions in my life. Think about it, every day we are presented with something: our phones, notifications, advertising branded on every single thing we look at, patterns, colors – it’s A LOT. In an effort to bring more peace and relaxation into my life, I’ve decided to remove some of that.
A Few General Fashion Rules
I am very particular when it comes to what I wear and how I dress. I definitely like to switch things up every once in a while, but some things I always keep in mind when picking out an outfit are:
Boots, Shores, and Reservoirs
Do you ever feel like you have so many outfit ideas and just never the right occasion to wear them? Well, that’s where I found myself while I was practically hiking in heeled boots, yesterday. I find it funny that I had originally started this blog for fashion, yet that seems to be the category I post the least about. so, my friend Adam and I decided it was time to change that.
Going Gluten-Free
Hi, everyone! Sorry for my lack of posting this past week; I’ve been insanely busy with finals coming up and finishing up the school year. Today, I wanted to talk about going gluten-free! Recently I discovered my body’s intolerance to gluten (of which I suspect has been going on for years, the more I think about it), so I have made the commitment to go gluten-free. For those of you who don’t know, gluten is what is found in wheat, barley, and rye. So, yes, I am no longer able to eat the foods that I once cherished: mac & cheese, pizza, perogies – you get the point.
5 Ways to Start a Social Media Cleanse
I will be the first to say it – we are all addicted to social media. I am a grade A offender, and I am fully aware of this. I use Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook – you name it, I probably have the app on my phone. Through my experience, it is safe to say that social media has both pros and cons.
